Jesus Christ Superstar is a sung-through rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, loosely based on the Gospels and centred on the final days of Jesus Christ’s life. Told largely through the eyes of Judas Iscariot, the musical explores the human relationships, political tensions, and emotional conflicts surrounding Jesus and his followers under Roman occupation in Judea.

This production of Jesus Christ Superstar strips away the scale and spectacle and inhabits the deeply human story that lies underneath. Staged within the industrial intimacy of Fab Nobs, our version embraces the vulnerability and immediacy of the story and its characters.
